Top fashion and commercial agency, Upfront Model Management, will host a Model Workshop in the Montenotte Hotel, Cork on Sunday 13th of February 2022. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from leading fashion industry experts about what it takes to become a successful model at any age and learn about the fashion and model industry.

The workshop will include practical presentations on the life of a working model, how to find and get signed to the right agency for your talent, and, importantly, how to get booked! It will also include presentations on how to perfect your posture and deportment, develop your runway walk and how to pose for photographs / and move for motion.
Top Make Up Artist Liz Desmond
The afternoon will include a live demonstration on how to achieve day and night make up looks, and become ‘camera ready’ by leading MUA Liz Desmond. She will also shares tips on good skincare.
Liz’s hard working attitude, talent and dedication to her craft has led her to become one of Ireland’s most sought after freelance make up artists. She worked on beauty counters for 12 years before moving to New York where she trained with top international artists. On her return to Ireland in 2012 she went out on her own and Makeup By Lola was born. Liz’s passion has always been bridal, but she also works regularly for TV as one of the resident makeup artists on RTÉ Today Show.
Liz is the go to make up artist for fashion productions & editorial shoots.
Her ever growing profile has seen her working with some of Ireland & UK’s top celebrities and we are so delighted she can join us at our Model workshop.

TOP FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER STEVE SAVAGE
Top Irish fashion photographer, Steve Savage, will attend the workshop and share some advice on perfecting your pose and movement on camera. Each participant will also receive a professional headshot and full length image taken by Steve Savage as a start to building their portfolio.
Based in Cork City, Steve is one of Ireland’s top fashion photographer and also works throughout Europe. Steve graduated with a degree from the Photography institute Sydney and worked for a number of years along side and assisting some of Sydney's best Fashion Photographer's and model agencies. He worked on Australia's Next Top Model, Miss Universe Australia, Miss Earth Australia, The Voice Australia, Jets Swimwear and Black the Label. He has also created amazing campaigns for start up designers, labels and brands.
In 2016 Steve Savage assisted one of the world’s top photographer Alexi Lubomirski on a fashion photoshoot with Keira Knightly for the front cover of Harpers Baazar UK.
Since 2016, Steve has worked with top brands, models and fashion projects in Ireland and we are delighted he can join us at our workshop.

Top Model, Aishling O’Connell, will also attend the workshop to share her experiences as a working model and give advice to those thinking of getting into the industry. Aishling modelled internationally in Japan and Paris with IMG and has appeared in numerous advertising campaigns, fashion weeks, shows and on TV.
