All the months of meticulous planning by Claire Murphy and her hard working organising committee paid off - as over 300 guests enjoyed a wonderful day at the Love Kerry Lunch & Fashion Show in aid of Palliative Care Unit, Kerry General Hospital in magical surroundings of Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa on Sunday.
… and all of us at Upfront Model Management were delighted to be part of such a wonderful event in aid of a most worthy cause.
The show was opened by international fashion designer Colin Horgan, who is loved by A-Listers all over the world, including Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga and closed by another international fashion designer Don O’Neill who has dressed the most beautiful and famous women on the planet - including Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle (and he showed the gown at the show worn beautifully by Niamh). Award winning, sustainable milliner Cathy Troth created special headpieces to adorn some of Don’s creations for the finale.
The style on and off the ‘runway’ was exceptional as you can see from some of the images above.
The full line up also included multi award winning milliner, Carol Kennelly (a fave of Nicole Kidman and Liz Hurley), MacBees, Hannons, Jasmine, Cathy Troth, Rebekah Wall and Goose Boutique Tralee.
Claire Murphy, who organised the event in memory of her late father, Noel J. Loughran, thanked the generosity of those in attendance and those who sponsored prizes and said ““My thanks are to everyone who sponsored, donated and gave up their Sunday to be at the event. The total raised exceeded all our expectations at €25,700 and the Dial-a-Diamond raffle raised 5k alone which is outstanding”.
The afternoon was brilliantly mc’ed by well known fashion blogger and Instagram star the wonderful Orlagh Winters. The Best Dressed Lady judged by Danny Leane was Myra Glennon who won a spectacular prize of a bespoke neckpiece by Rebekah Wall and a hamper from Expose Tralee. John Ross Jewellers generously sponsored the diamond for the ‘Dial a Diamond’ draw on the day, and the pre drinks reception was sponsored by Clifford’s Cash & Carry. Bathrooms 4U also kindly sponsored two tables for the palliative care until at Kerry Hospice.
The runway inspired Spring / Summer hair and make up looks for the show were created by the multi award winning team at Expose Tralee.
